I wrote this blog post as a quick write-up based on a simple to understand break down of some basic commands for beginners or 'more designer folks.' it's an introductory of how to use terminal or SSH. Specifically, for drupal.

In order to do this you will need Terminal Access or access to a web server that allows you to log in via terminal or the command line.

Do some research on the web. One of these possible web hosts might be DreamHost, but there are others.

Free hosting just may not be what you need. But it has come a long way and somewhere it does exist, possibly providing a need or niche for testing web apps under a different server configurations, or just testing out a simple website idea.

I've never been big on anything "online" editing and I hate to say it, but certainly not that impressed with anything I've ever seen in terms of online image editors, until I FOUND PICNIK.
Picnik is a fast and simple way to upload photos in a jif and edit them even easier.
Keep the website window open for the fast quick edits like Resizing, Rotating, even AutoFix and
cool things like Emailing Photos, uploading to Flickr, and saving to a library.

Best part is you don't even have to sign for anything. Just Upload and go.

Otherwise known as BadCamp - Bay Area Drupal Camp...
and if you look at the long list of Presentations that event is going to cover - Well, let's just say it's well worth the trip. The short list of Attendees is not so short. At this point, registration is full.
I'll have to at least write a short article about something interesting after this!
